Another popular dish is “Khao Lam” which is a mixture of sticky rice, sugar, coconut cream and sometimes black beans or sesame, cooked in specially prepared bamboo tubes. It can be eaten hot straight away or taken home, put in the fridge and eaten cold.
Chonburi has an abundance of fresh seafood and dried fruits. Due to the large number of residents from Isan, north-eastern dishes such as somtum (spicy papaya salad) and spicy larb (sour chopped pork salad) are widely available.
