Walking Street is a part of the city of Pattaya. It is is probably the most famous street (or Soi) in Thailand.
It is a tourist attraction that attracts foreigners as well as Thai nationals, primarily for the vibrant night life. The street runs from the south end of Beach Road to the Bali Hai Pier.
A large sign at the Beach Road entrance was erected in March 2010, and a small arch adorns the Bali Hai entrance.
Unique and unruly, it's shut off to traffic from 6.00 pm to 2 am and car parking is provided at the Bali Hai end.
There are raunchy shows, bar games, competing stereos, night clubs and lots of booze which all combine to make the street one huge party zone.
Vying to satisfy crowds comprised mainly of men are armies of girls so friendly that even shy people shed their shyness and enjoy themselves.
