Walking Street is a part of the city of Pattaya. It is is probably the most famous street (or Soi) in Thailand. It is a tourist attraction that attracts foreigners as well as Thai nationals, primarily for the vibrant night life. The street runs from the south end of Beach Road to the Bali Hai Pier. A large sign at the Beach Road entrance was erected in March 2010, and a small arch adorns the Bali Hai entrance. Unique and unruly, it's shut off to traffic from 6.00 pm to 2 am and car parking is provided at the Bali Hai end. There are raunchy shows, bar games, competing stereos, night clubs and lots of booze which all combine to make the street one huge party zone. Vying to satisfy crowds comprised mainly of men are armies of girls so friendly that even shy people shed their shyness and enjoy themselves.
If Pattaya is Fun town then this is Fun Street! It truly offers something for everyone, crazy bars, live music bars, restaurants to suit every taste, even bars full of lady boys for those that way inclined. Add to the mix the street stalls, souvenir shops, street entertainers and you can understand why it is Pattaya's number one tourist attraction.
Central Pattaya is not as raucous as South Pattaya, but there are still a number of beer bars, restaurants and other bars which contribute to its nightlife. This is an area frequented by many of the foreign residents of the city, and is more suited to a combination of drinking and chatting. For those who have a romantic nature, girls will happily sit with men if provided with a drink
